  SHEFFIELD DAILY TELEGRAPH: SWINTON ENGINE-DRIVER'S DEATH. "I think the man would have been alive to-day had it not been for the accident," commented Dr J.F.Hamilton at inquest yesterday on George Culpin (56), locomotive engine driver, of Charles Street, Swinton. The evidence showed that the man was knocked down by an express train, travelling at 50 miles an hour, at Swinton on January 5th. His arm was broken. He died on Monday last. It was stated that death was due to an obstruction internally, and a verdict of "Accidental death" was returned, it being held that the accident hastened the obstruction.
